EdgeSense focuses intelligence directly at the edge, where rapid detection and clear local warnings can support passengers and station teams.The concept is designed as a retrofittable strip, combining multiple sensor types with restrained lighting, audible alerts and staff notifications.

A single detection method may create blind spots or too many false alarms.EdgeSense explores sensor fusion: pressure, motion and thermal signals interpreted together to identify meaningful events while keeping the installation practical for existing stations.
